Suited for Spring

As I mentioned last week, this Spring is unlike any in recent history. However, things are starting to change and people are preparing to head outside. For me, I'm getting all my spring suits in order. ​

The elements that make a spring or any other warm weather suit are the fabrics and the colors. Traditionally, warm weather suits are made of cotton, linen or seersucker. While the warm weather colors are light and bright colors such as tan, light gray, light blue and red. This week I chose a tan plaid suit with light blue and brown checks. 

The location for this week's shoot was once again Virginia Beach Town Center. Due to the light foot traffic, it was easy to get a lot of great shots with little background distractions. So, overall social distancing was not an issue and I got some great shots for this blog post. 

My complete look this week includes a tan plaid suit from the Dapper Luq Collection, light blue shirt, patterned tie and tan loafers from MS Shoe Designs. I topped off the look with a fedora from Bailey's. 

As always, put together your best look and tag me on your post. This is the time to update your wardrobe and increase your social media presence. As with the suit, if you decide to add the loafer to your warm weather outfit, keep the colors light. I also recommend bringing in some bold colors like red, blue and green for your loafer collection. ​

This week's shoot included another collaboration with Michael Brown of MS Shoe Designs. If you follow me, you know my absolute favorite type of shoe is the loafer. The loafer is an easy to slip on shoe and it's perfect for the warm months of spring and summer.
