Ask either one of my sons who my favorite superhero is and with little hesitation they will answer "Captain America." I have always liked how he represents all that is good in United States, and I see him as a representation of me. Now I am not naive, I do know the United States has a checkered past and even today not everything is on solid ground. With that being said, what country do you know has everything together and everyone is always happy. Overall, I still think this is the greatest country in the world and I love living here. This week I am saluting one of my favorite holidays, Independence Day which is celebrated on the 4th of July. This weekend all around this great nation, people will be getting together to celebrate being Americans. Grills will be cooking, fireworks will be flying, and of course I will be in a suit. For this week's look I am utilizing the colors red, white, and blue.
When it comes to the fabric in the middle of the summer I recommend cotton or linen. The look I am wearing here is all cotton. The blazer is cotton and made by Tommy Hilfiger, the pants are blue cotton and made by Banana Republic, the shirt is slim fit by Tommy Hilfiger and the shoes are by Johnston and Murphy. For me the accessories are light, pocket square by j. crew, tie by Tommy Hilfiger, and american flag lapel pin and glasses. - Dapper Luq Photography by Virtue the Artist
