Dapper in the rain

The one thing that is certain in both Virginia and in life is that there will definitely be rainy days. Regardless of the weather outside,  you must still get out there and do what needs to be done while hopefully dressing well. 

Over the past few months it seems as though Virginia has been getting a constant flow of rain. I really can't complain about the rain, since my neighbor to the north Maryland has been getting a constant stream of snow. No shade, but I know from experience that the people in Virginia are not the best drivers in the snow. I can recall a few years back when there were nearly 50 accidents reported during the morning commute when we had an early morning snow storm. So, with that in mind let's stick to the rainy day looks. 

In my intro, I also mentioned that there will be rainy days in life. The rainy days in life don't deal with the weather, but deal more with days that are not ideal. As a 20+ year veteran in the military and entrepreneur, I have seen my share of rainy days, but I still love the challenge and rewards that life brings. A mind set that I try to have is every day is Monday. I know a lot of people dread Mondays because they are the start of the work week. In my mind everyday has the potential for new connections and new opportunities that I can take advantage of. As I make my transition from the military to civilian life next year, my goal is to be a full time entrepreneur. I know that it will have its challenges, but I am determined to do my best and not miss out on opportunities. You should take that approach to any challenge in your own life. 

This week I decided to show a layered look that featured one of my favorite rain coats. The blue Kenneth Cole slim fit rain coat is the perfect jacket for gentleman on a rainy day. It fits well, looks good and keeps you both warm and dry. All the elements you need for that perfect rain jacket. I've had this jacket a little over a year and it still looks new since it's one of the jackets I only break out on rainy days.
