According to the calendar Spring officially begins March 20th, but based on this years weather the exact season is difficult to pinpoint. Traditionally, Spring is transitional season that brings us out of the cold winter months with milder days, patches of rain, and blooming of plants that have been dormant all Winter. This Spring has been much colder than any other Spring that I can remember with wintery mixes still taking place. Regardless of the weather, a gentleman has to get out and look his best.
When it comes to clothes, Spring is all about color. During the Winter months, brown and gray were the colors of choice. Now lighter colors and pastels help you stand out amongst your peers. My look this week was a forest green chinos, navy blue blazer, light blue tie, cream fedora and cognac brown loafers. In addition to lighter colors, during Spring your fabrics should also be light. I usually recommend cotton in warmer months and it also works in this cooler Spring we are having. So, as you begin to build your Spring wardrobe remember to utilize light colors and pick fabrics that will help keep you cool. Overall, keep your Spring look simple, fun and dapper.
