A man's wardrobe is one way to project to the world his stature. According to dictionary.com, power is defined as the possession of control or command over others. I have always been fascinated with men that hold positions of power especially in business. I consider myself a man with a level of power and influence over my peers and colleagues. So, this week i present to you my vision and projection of power.
The double breasted suit is a unique suit that has long been reserved for executives and men of power. This week's look has me in a dark gray double breasted suit standing in front of a unique background. My previous posts have mostly been outside and in more open areas. This week I was able to work with another talented photographer, Charles Hundley of Raw Image Photography and we wanted the focus to be on me and the suit. The lighting and over all look help to project the look of power I wanted to portray.
The suit itself is from Caravelli, the shirt is Tommy Hilfiger, the tie is Black Brown 1826 and the shoes are monk straps from Johnston & Murphy. Let me know what you think and if you have any looks you would like to see let me know. Next week I will showcase a 3 piece suit.
To say the last few weeks have been busy would be a true understatement. From walking runways in New York, Washington D.C. and in Hampton Roads. To shooting commercials, working on television shows and finally writing articles for magazines. I have been focused on building and expanding my brand. With all that being said I always have to come back to one of my first passions, blogging.
This week I was able to link up with a outstanding photographer in my area and show a different side of my wardrobe. As much as I love suits, I also love denim. As an 80's baby jeans and denim jackets were a huge part of my wardrobe growing up. My look incorporates denim with chinos and to finish off the look I added some brown wingtips. I also added a fedora, the hat is a different accessory I am experimenting with. Years ago the hat was an essential part of every gentlemen's wardrobe, if I can get all my hats to fit as well as this one did, the hat may become an essential part of my wardrobe as well.
Overall, this week I wanted to show a different look and shift into the Fall season. The look is comfortable and allows for layering which is essential for this season. Let me know what you think of the look and I will be posting more looks soon.
