In September of 2014, on one of my very first large modeling projects, I was introduced to Mario Daugherty and his Reckless Clothing line. Ever since that meeting I have kept in touch with Mario and I have wore his clothes in several different fashion shows.
Mario began the Reckless Clothing line back in 2008 and his clothes have been a staple in Hampton Roads ever since. He was inspired to begin his own line by the designers Ralph Lauren and Russell Simmons. Additionally, he finds inspiration for his clothing in everything around him. This week I once again teamed up with the photographer François Joseph and we pulled two looks from Mario's collection. Both looks are very casual for me, but comfortable none the less. The first look features a graphic v-neck t-shirt with shorts and a pair of suede oxfords from Johnston and Murphy to complete the look. The second look has a military green button up shirt, khakis and a pair of cognac brown Johnston and Murphy loafers to complete the look.
Reckless Clothing has a wide range of looks in its collection that will fit most guy's style. You can purchase Reckless at Risk Contour located at 211 Providence Rd in Chesapeake, VA. You can see the Reckless Clothing line on the runway at the Prevent Cancer Awareness Fashion Show July 17th, Beauty of the Heart Fashion Show July 30th, and Virginia Full Figured Fashion Week in October.
Hello all my fellow dapper gents. It has been a while but trust me I've still been busy. From bridal shows, fashion shows, tv shows and all types of fashion events, I have found plenty of ways to show off my love for fine clothing. Despite how busy I have been, I always have my mind on my blog. This is where I can come and speak directly to you about me and my take on style. I have always been conscience of my accessories but lately I have really been on hats. The hat is an all year accessory that adds flair to any dapper outfit. Like suits, hats come in many different materials and the season determines which ones will work best. This week I am wearing a straw hat I picked up during my vacation to Orlando, Florida. Florida is typically warm so they are accustomed to adding the right warm weather accessories.
In addition to the new look for the week I am also working with a new photographer. Francois Joseph is an outstanding photographer in the Hampton Roads area with a great eye for fashion. Check out his website francois-joseph.com and be on the look out for more collaborations with he and I.
As the temperature warms up, the material changes, but the sense of style remains. This look has a sport coat from Jos. A Bank, shirt by Tommy Hilfiger, tie by Club Room, slacks by Banana Republic, shoes by Johnston and Murphy and to top it off the hat is by Jacobson Hats.
