Live Music was by Rick Elliot
Coming from a major city and moving to a small area such as Virginia Beach I don't get the same events I'm used to. Since I started doing events I always try to bring new things to my area that cater to the grown and sexy. Diner sur le toit en Noir was a great event because it was an event that I put together with all the elements I would want in an event. I started with a wine tasting, then moved into an outstanding diner with live music playing. Then we moved up on the rooftop for more music, desert and cigars.
The wine tasting for the event was provided by a good friend out of Richmond Gwen Hurt of Shoe Crazy Wine. Her selection of wines was a perfect way to start the evening and it paired well with dinner. The chef for the event was Chef Shawn Wimberly. The main meal options for the evening were herb chicken with cream linguine and shrimp risotto. Live music for the evening was provided by saxophonist Rick Elliott.
Over that last few years I have seen Patricia Rountree host events and I knew it would only be a matter of time before we collaborated on an event. In a area that is as small as this one, you tend to know who are the people that are making moves. The venue we chose for the event was Courtyard by Marriott located in downtown Norfolk. The location gave a city feel and was a little know gem. The event was enjoyed by all and the demand for the event lets me know I will definitely have to do a similar event in this area soon.
The outfit I decided was an all black tuxedo from Jos A. Bank, the shirt was Express and my shoes were from my good friends at MS Shoe Designs in Norfolk, VA.
I really want to thank all the beautiful ladies and dapper gentlemen that came out to support this great event. Stay tuned for more events from Patricia Rountree and Dapper Luq.
